cover-new-m0lvu1The latest edition of ‘The Pacific Crossing Guide’ written by Kitty van Hagen and published by the Royal Cruising Club Pilotage Foundation has hit the shelves. We were pleased to be able to contribute to this voluminous work which not only covers places to visit in the Pacific but provides a wealth of information on yacht preparation and passage planning. For us the Pacific has without doubt been the jewel in the crown on our trip so far and we have fond memories of the many places we visited.

The book is available in all good nautical bookstores and of course online from the likes of Amazon. So if you’re a yachtie – dash out or go online and buy a copy!

Do hope you are both well and enjoying your break? I shall look forward to reading your next post when you resume your travels and meanwhile Alan and I wish you both a very Happy Christmas and great cruising in 2017!!

Yet again, a ‘hard case’ (kiwi saying meaning ironic or there-bouts) situation. Here in poxy boring old New Zealand, we dream about exotic beautiful places like the Caribbean and the Med and the Riviera and such things. Kind of a very exaggerated case of believing that the grass is greener elsewhere. It’s a mixed blessing being so isolated.
