So two very excited happy individuals rolled into Lymington to pick up their new home, Adina!<\/p>\n
Time wise, we had to rush as we wanted to get to our planned berth at Burlsedon before it got dark.<\/p>\n
Handshakes all round and a big thank you to the broker Alan Mcilroy who had been a fantastic help in securing Adina. In fact I have to give Alan a bit of a big-up here. I have a bit of a sceptical outlook on brokers but he proved all of that wrong. Never rushed us, gave us lots of advice, and was just an all-round nice guy!<\/p>\n
Engine on – ready to go. hang on – what’s that alarm… Alan…..<\/p>\n
No longitude and latitude reading. Lots of digging around, turning things on and off. Only thing removed on the boat was the anemometer for some repairs – but that reads wind – not lat\/long. An hour later as a last desperate measure Alan went up the mast and replaced it. Everything worked…<\/p>\n
So we left scratching our heads and motored at a furious pace to our new base up the River Hamble to Universal Marina just as the sun set.<\/p>\n
