Quick update – sadly the weather is not playing ball for crossing to Spain. It would be windy getting out of Falmouth, but that’s fine as it’s the right direction, and Adina is solid and likes wind. But Biscay is tricky with constantly changing low pressure systems. Truth be told, it gets us down as we are aching to get south and have been constantly watching the weather forecasts two days ahead since . Sadly we then have south westerlies forecast until next Thursday and they give windy rough seas. Thanks to Neil Meyrick who is crewing with us for the crossing, and sitting in an office and also looking at the weather. More importantly, he hasn’t abandoned us and still intends joining us for the crossing!<\/p>\n
So, square eyes onboard from continually looking at weather forecasts! There is even a lack of crabs in town as fishermen are not going out. That says something.<\/p>\n
So we’ve decided chin up, let’s forget it ’til next week and let’s explore Falmouth, Cornwall!<\/p>\n
On the upside it gives us time to do more boat work which we enjoy. Still anchored in Falmouth Bay – when it gets windy we feel like we’re sailing it’s so bouncy! But our anchor is holding nicely.<\/p>\n
The dinghy takes us for a daily trip to town. We had a seal pop up right in front of us on one trip – not sure who was more surprised – the seal or us!<\/p>\n
Wish it was more cheerful news but alas nature must be respected. We have another boat anchored nearby with hippies onboard. Susie keeps telling me off saying I can’t say that \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
