Looking at the wind forecast it was due to back and be up our ‘chuff’ so we headed south of our rhumb line in order to come back up when the wind shifted. Of course that didn’t happen! The wind built and bought some lively seas that we now had to tackle coming back to the rhumb line leaving things feeling like being in a washing machine at one stage. With good winds we were making fast progress and had to reef to slow down preferring a daylight arrival. Tested the water maker – it works! No fish so Susie knocked up our favourite crossing dish – Burmese curry. We have a recipe book onboard that guests each contribute to and friends Roger and Judith came up with this easy and tasty dish specifically for the Atlantic. Yum! So we’re now in Las Palmas, it was a quick good crossing and we’re two very happy people. Lots of ARC boats here already. Time for tapas and vino tinto!! 3 dolphin sightings, 1 super yacht and generator worked a treat.
