Good morning from the crew of Adina! Day 3 we experienced some light to moderate winds and kept east to try and stay with the wind. Out West there is little wind. Sea legs are now in place and Gareth and Tom rigged the spinnaker pole so we could ‘goose wing’. For our non-sailing friends…

Dawn on day 2 treated us to cloudy skies but more importantly some wind. We discovered on tuning in to the daily ARC call for sailing participants that most boats had used their engines and motored through the windless night so were way ahead of us leaving us at the back. But we are sailors…

Adina slipped lines at 12.05 on her planned journey across the Atlantic. Onboard are Tom, Susie, Lindsay, Neil and Gareth. It’s been a busy time recently on Adina. Lindsay Cunningham, one of the crew for our upcoming Atlantic Crossing, is a teacher at the prestigious King’s College Junior School in Wimbledon, London.
