CA Love Cup

We are pleased to announce we have been awarded the Cruising Association’s 2014 Love Cup for the best log of a journey under 30 days for our trip through Algeria in August last year.

The Love Cup was presented to the Cruising Association in 1911 by John Love, a founder member and first President of the club. It’s the oldest trophy to be awarded at the club so we feel very honoured.

Being in the Galápagos Islands at the moment we were unable to pick it up in person but were delighted that Neil Meyrick, who introduced us to the Cruising Association, was able to do the honours for us. Neil, who was also one of our fabulous Atlantic Ocean crossing crew, told us he had a very good dinner in well travelled company!

We hope in time to give something back to the CA as we have enjoyed many wonderful nights at their clubhouse attending lectures that inspired us.
