Adina ready to cross to Vanuatu

So Adina is all set to leave lovely Fiji and head for Vanuatu.

The last two weeks we’ve been exploring the more remote Northern Lau in the east and then had a brief stop in the well travelled Yasawa Islands in the west using Musket Cove as our base. For the last few days we’ve been in Vuda Marina working furiously to get Adina ready, provision the boat up and had some expert checks on the engine and rigging to ensure she is all set to go.

Our first stop will be at Port Resolution on the southern island of Tanna where there is a very alive volcano we hope to explore. We’ll make our way up to the island of Erromango and then finally cross to the capital Port Vila on the island of Efate. Get those google maps out!

460 nautical miles of sailing to cross to Vanuatu, the winds look good and we hope to do the crossing in 3.5 days.

All set to go. Farewell lovely Fiji and vinaka (thank you) – we shall dearly miss the ever friendly calls of “Bula!”
