We’re off to Borneo tomorrow. There have been bad forest fires in Indonesia which have even impacted Singapore but we’ve learnt from a yacht located up the Kumai River that the situation has improved so we’re setting sail with the hope of seeing orangutans in Kalimatan. It’s another long passage of 600 nautical miles and the wind is forecast to be right behind us. It looks breezy and we hope we’ll get to fly our parasailor spinnaker – or else it’s that wretched rolly wing-on-wing sailing we so dislike. Fingers crossed for the former. We leave 5.30am 8th October Indonesia time.
