Day 3 Tiffany joins Adina enroute to Las Palmas
2Wednesday 9 October 2013
Day 3 of our crossing from Gibraltar to Las Palmas was a good one. At the beginning of the day we were getting depressed at the thought of gybing all the way there but decided to hoist the Parasailor. We’re getting better at our hoisting, trimming and dropping techniques and must admit we’re loving it! We were hitting our rhumb line and breaking speed records; 7/8 knots on average and we topped 10 knots for the first time ever – not bad for a 21 tonne 46 footer! A sparrow has joined us – Tiffany has taken up quarters sheltered in the fenders at the stern of the boat. Food has been offered but all we’ve seen is a little poop on the aft deck! Routine is underway: porridge (“full monty” with banana, raisins, honey) at 10, lunch at 2, nibbles at 7, and dinner at 9. 2 sightings of dolphins, no more superyachts, generator still working.
Keep up the good work! 🙂
Glad you are having fun.
Hi guys, your speed leader board hasn’t been updated. A suspicious mind could conclude that maybe Suzy now holds the record…..? Are you guys going to do the World ARC route through the Pacific? Best of luck from NZ.
